the gloves need ias because the smiter will need to use a zerker and they have ias requirements. i generally dont rely on my gloves for much resistances because it drives the cost too high.
a hybrid smiter / foh is easily killed by a pure smiter with res stack and some direct + % light absorb making that just a weakened smiter. elemental damage in pvp fails badly, if they can sorb/stack expect they will. gm duels dont exist
i dont expect to get a res on dual stat gloves when i craft a few hundred of them. i rely on res stack gear that is not apart of my standard item configuration for the smiter to ensure if i take a 30k fb hit they will need to hit me at least 10 times before the character is dead while my smiter only needs 2 hits to take down a sorc.
