If maintaining the ratio helps with critical hit chance, wouldn’t it make sense to maintain it on axes? Since both str or dex give 50/50 damage.
does absolutely nothing, has been tested by multiple people. Max strength or Max dex or 50/50 or anything in between = same damage and same crit chance, only thing to care about is trying to maintain even numbers for a tiny fraction of extra damage.
Also rex did not state to maintain the ratio, not sure where you got that part from. If that's from your own thinking, it's wrong but feel free to continue thinking it, as darkhunter said, it's generally true that 1 of your main stat is equal to 3 of a side stat.
So comparing a 50 strength with 10 dex charm to a 53 strength charm:
Clubs: Use 53 strength
Swords: 50 str 10 dex
axe: 50 str 10 dex
staff/dagger: Go out and buy a 35+ dex charm.
What would be true is saying statting the wrong stat increases your crit chance more than statting the right stat. However, as you can tell from the recommendation, it's better to stat the main stat of your weapon or vitality
You'd need in the region of 400 of your main stat on swords or staffs before the wrong stat starts dealing more damage thanks to crit, and closer to 1200 on clubs/daggers.
