What is a Diablo Druid? Let me explain!

With the new sunder charm in D2R, many fire builds have finally emerge to compete as S Tiers build. With the last patch fixing the Hit Delay, many variant of the fire druid are now able to do so as well. This is one of them.

This build focus on the attack speed of the Fury Wolf to proc a truly mesmerizing blazing inferno. His close relative, the fury wolf using the Destruction runeword was, in my eyes, lacking the real proc potential to compete with the Mosaic Assasin. Therefor I crafted this build with the druid skill who has the most chance to occure, naming Firestorm. Its important to know that Firestorm from Phoenix no longer interrupt your attack when it procs.

By using a phoenix phase blade and a phoenix shield, you reach 80% chances to proc firestorm and with the right IAS gear, you can dash out 6.25 hit per second. This means that every second, 5 hit out of the 6.25 proc firestorm. Firestorm, if cast by the druid himself, is subject to a 0.6 second casting delay that cannot be bypass with Faster Cast Rate. The skills that are moderated by a casting delay would otherwise be too powerfull without it (FOH and Frozen Orb are good exemple). Now just imagine what 5proc/second fully synergized looks like and add on top of it that the firestorm it release is level 22.

You can walk through anything P8 with this setup.

It is also very easy to max out the synergies of firestorm because there are only 2 (fissure and molten boulder). You can therefore make :

20 molten boulder
20 fissure
20 werewolf
20 fury

The rest is up to you between Lycanthropy / armageddon / spirits. I went with Armageddon because I made my Flickering Flame in a Hunter's Guise with +3 armageddon. Nothing to sneeze at but with Flickering flame + 2x Phoenix, you stand on -70% enemy fire resistance.

What you got is :
-70% enemy fire resistance
50+ all resistance with Fade from Treachery. Can get maxed with charms.
30% damage reduced with Fade
6.25 hit per second
80% chance to cast level 22 Firestorm on Striking
Amazing BBQ for whatever stand in from of you
Hit so fast that Life Tap is always ON for Hardcore safety (LOH might be better on softcore idk)
In this case level 24 redemption aura (ultra safety + peace of mind with reviving mobs)
