Hello. A few days ago I had a blizzard from dairy queen, and my stomach's been acting weird ever since. First I noticed that there was a slight ache, slight feeling of discomfort with my stomach. And then the past 2 days I have been having gas. And I can feel that the gas doesn't come from the lower part of my bowels, which is the usual case. Instead I can feel that it started at the top part of my bowels, right around my stomach and the part of the intestine that follows it. And when I drink water, I can feel my stomach churn, and it will keep making a gurgling sound for quite a while, almost like it's shaking.

I don't know what's wrong with my stomach. I hope it's not cancer. It's really strange, this is happening for the first time.

food poisoning is pretty uncommon from ice cream but if the employee didn't wash their hands you could have somehow got salmonella or something, but your symptoms would be a little more severe than gas and discomfort.
sounds like lactose intolerance.

If I had to guess, I'd say your body is trying to tell you not to consume frozen trash like DQ blizzards.

Hey, I just read your post and wanted to share that I experience the same thing with any lactose. The exact same thing as you've described.

I haven't been to a doctor because I'm almost positive it's lactose intolerance.

I've switched to almond milk and just try to avoid "heavy" dairy stuff like ice cream or 2% milk.

Just gotta watch what you eat a little bit and you'll be alright.

Thanks.

I can actually tolerate ice cream. Once I ate a tub and nothing happened. I also really like this ice cream-based drink from a local coffee shop and it doesn't bother me. Cheese is ok too. I mostly have trouble with milk. I am thinking that the blizzard that I had probably contained more milk than ice cream.

Interesting. Last time I ate ice cream I was clearing my family room every 4 minutes

I wonder if on that particular day the combination of blizzard + other food just hit you different? Maybe it is milk based stuff like you said, idk. Might be worth a trip to doctor if it's a persistent bother. Or do what I do and chug green tea w/honey all day everyday for a week and hope it fixes every issue ever lol

Food poisoning.

They didn’t clean the machine properly and you ate a bunch of bacteria.

Happens often with your shake bottles if you forgot leftover protein and let it sit in the sun and then reuse it without washing good. That’s an experience I don’t recommend anyone.
