look into a i7-4770 or a i7-4770k if you are into overclocking

with that cpu you shound't have to upgrade your mobo or ram or anything else but cpu.

If you're planning on upgrading into your current socket, I don't think it's worth it for the minimal gains. You're going to spend around $100 for a used i7 4770.
For around $250-$300cad you could upgrade to a i3 12100F+Mobo+2x8gb DDR4 Ram, which would be a substantial upgrade from your current.

I agree here. Your current setup is over a decade old, and it would be extremely pointless to upgrade into the same socket. What's your budget? It might also be worth looking into 2nd hand parts if the budget is extremely tight.
