Budget is not a problem.

GPU : 3060 TI
1000w PSU
AIO cooler
32 gb of RAM
mobo : PRIME Z370-A (LGA1151) ... i know i will have to change the motherboard as well.

So i'm just asking what should i upgrade to from my i7-8700k and what motherboard would you guys recommend?

thanks.

What are you trying to do with the upgrade? Can just get a good gpu for an upgrade and keep the current cpu/mobo

I am actually in the same boat you are . I've had my 8700k for 5 years now and upgraded my GPU to a 3070 . Noticed some bottlenecking with some games . I've been looking into the 13600k as a replacement. Top CPU for gaming performance and released within the last year. I would take a look at that . Motherboard is depending on if you are wanting to change your ram to DDR5 as well because the 13600k actually supports BOTH ( another plus to this CPU ) .

i5 12400f+mid range mobo (MSI Mortar series is GG)
7 5700x+mid range mobo

The 3060ti is the driver, just need a solid CPU/mobo combo

TBH that i7 8700k probably still decent but gonna start showing it's age in a couple years with more modern games

If you have a microcenter near you, they are offering i7-12th gen cpus, z690-motherboard and 16gb ddr4-ram as a bundle for like $350 which is insane and the best bang for your dollar.
