There are moments where I wonder if we have the capacity to even imagine what life which can traverse such huge distances is like.
Aliens which desire to end the life of our species for whatever the reason? I do not know if that even exists out there.

Sometimes, I entertain the thought that they like to dance to whatever it is that is music to them. And, that they may want to explore the music and sounds that our species creates as well as they may wish to share their music and dance moves with us.
Our species does kill for profit, control, entertainment, and for power, just to name a few, as our brains are still deeply tied to what may have been cave dwelling critters that we may have evolved from. But what of alien brains, brains which may have had millions, if not billions of years of time to develop other branches of being.

for example per capita major innovation is going down. waaay down. so it could be one of two things: either theres nothing more to invent (i dont believe this but its a possibility), or we are just getting dumber. there is some evidence to us getting dumber, along with a theoretical explanation: at some point, intelligence became maladaptive. and i think this would apply to an alien species as well, as evolution just needs survival, and what we consider improvement might just be our wishful thinking. for example intelligence isnt that needed anymore because progress in medicine removed darwinian conditions that favored intelligence. now retards have 10x the amount of kids the intelligent people do (and unlike before, most of them survive), and i dont see it going anywhere good also moral has no reason to evolve further (moral is important for the survival of the group and group isnt as needed as before), so morality could even devolve basically im saying the whole fermi paradox is simply because no civilization can just evolve all the time, but instead has periods when it just collapses back into shit and then everything starts all over again

also space is flat and since the speed of light is a hard limit so to say, no one has any idea how to bypass this limit, as a flat space would need to be curved somehow so if some civilization managed to do that, they would be so vastly superior to us, that we couldnt even see them on our devices i think

i am ofc massively biased. even if i saw aliens tomorrow, spaceships and all, i would probably think its a deepfake or something

if aliens did exist though, i also think as you do that they would enjoy music and art and stuffs like that, as rules of the art are basically mathematical (golden ratio etc), and mathematics is the same everywhere, and eyes and ears are important senses that any high species should have taste in music might be different though. imagine a space faring alien civilization that enjoys turbo folk would be hard to take them seriously even if they chose to invade
