I hate the DDD terminology. It doesn't always correlate with symptoms, and it mostly leads people to fear movement. Honestly, growing weaker is a risk factor if you have disc issues. Managing pain and progressive overload are key things to implement in your training. A fairly high percentage of the adult population would have disc issues on MRI, a lot of them don't have symptoms. The other way around is also true. Whatever you do, just have logic programming and recover properly.
