addone I don't remember, do you think free will exists?

if it does, hows it possible within your view if everything is simply advanced brain chemistry/physics?

if my assessment is wrong and there is something granting you agency outside of the laws of physics/chemistry etc what is it?

I am not sure if it does or doesn't that is up for debate. My brain gives me agency to act as far as I understand. Its our central processor that enables us to think and make decisions. These abstract concepts like free will or logic are mental tools.
How our brains work is very much an uncharted territory we are still exploring those frontiers. If you have proof of your god being responsible for free will you need to demonstrate that.

This is the same argument that creationist pose around cosmology instead you are using around transcendentals "haha ur science can't explain where (insert unknown ‐ universe/logic/free will etc) comes from therefore our very specific magic deity did it"
When asked for proof you just dismiss it saying but but but your worldview doesn't support it.

well if your brain is a determined set of outcomes from physics/chemistry (and even if you want to argue quantum randomness) how does a determined outcome/randomness create genuine true free will? it's a bit ad hoc to say it does, no?

i'm not making an argument here for my worldview, i'm simply wanting to know what your perspective is.

if i am not wrong, you think free will exists but you don't really have a reason why you think that or how it is the case.

Cult lore and chants how fascinating. What does this sign of jonah supposed to mean? In the storybook you call bible he gets swallowed by a big fish and lives inside the stomach for 3 days and 3 nights then gets spat out without dying. Curious how does this help prove god you keep saying is real? If anything this makes it even less real.

After you failed a simple test from our previous conversation I can't take anything you say seriously. You have to understand its nothing personal but talking to a person who refuses to provide reliable evidence while simultaneously asserting unsubstantiated claims gets dull.

No proof = fake

Good luck out there maybe ask your invisible and totally existent god to provide proof for himself because you clearly aren't doing a good job. If I was your god I would provide me irrefutable proof of his existence so there would be 0 doubt. But there is no god is there CPK001?

God has revealed himself through his Son Jesus. The Word became flesh. If you want to see what God is like then look to Jesus.

What you do have are Moses and the Prophets. If you do not listen to the Prophets then nothing is going to convince you. It's plain and simple. They explain everything we need to know. It has been enough for the last 2,000 Years and will continue to be enough.

Tell me though, do you understand all the significant numbers of the Bible and their meaning?

How do I "look to jesus" exactly when I can't see him, hear or feel him? Is he in your imagination because I can't find him anywhere?
I already tried your method of calling him several times including in this very thread. That didn't work.

I looked for the "sign of jonah" assuming its a man being eaten by a fish and living inside its belly for 3 days and 3 nights. There was no jonah, still don't know what that is exactly and you refuse to eleborate.
Do I have to brainwash myself to hallucinate him into existence? Because thats the only thing I haven't tried yet.

The alternative is you say "I don't know right now" until someone brings an explanation with PROOF.
You can just say I am good no jesus for me. Bring proof of his miracles then we can talk until then respectfully I am NOT going to blindly believe it.

If god wants a relationship with me he is more than welcome to convince me he exists. I am not going to brainwash myself to have a relationship with an imaginary person.
People live perfectly well and happy without believing in a magical god. You should try it, if your god only exists if you belief form then he is no different to your imagination.

Try it.

An explanation you don't have, so don't tell others you know the truth. People who have pursued Jesus know of his goodness.

God will continue giving you the freedom to make the decision in having faith in him and you will either pursue him or you won't. You won't convince others to lose their faith. This thread will not be what you think it will be.

Having an explanation without proof is called delusion. Since you refuse to provide evidence or how you "know" jesus let me ask you. How is it any different to Islam, Tribal Shamanism or Norse Hethenry who have an explanation but no proof just like Christianity?

What made you pick and choose one of these "proofless" explanations over another? Is it geography or the family you were born into that indoctrinated you? For example if you were born in India into a Hindu family you would be spouting Hinduism instead of Christianity? Have you gone around and sampled all the belief systems, how do you tell which ones are real and which are fake? Is this based on feelings, or a popularity contest or did you pick it randomly out of a hat? Were you lonely and wanted to be part of a "club" so you joined because you wanted to blend in?

Did Jesus's ghost walk up to you and said yo durrr I am real dawg you better worship me or else I put you down like a dog? If you seen or hear jesus how do you know it was jesus? Did he bring some ID? What did he look like and how do you know it wasn't a hallucination or a vivid dream? Were you intoxicated or on drugs?

Or are you making this whole thing up but at this point you don't want to admit to yourself and others that you are delusional. So you keep up the charade.

I've never had a sip of alcohol in my life and have never done drugs. I've also explained this many times in this thread. I chose to follow Jesus for the same reason you chose to have faith in your belief. Only difference is God does indeed reveal himself to those who seek him.

Jesus is trustworthy and verifiable. Christianity is the only religion that fully accounts for everything we see and experience.

Jesus came to abolish religion and fulfill the law.

I will absolutely continue to live my life freely because it's my life and my decision and my decisions have zero weight on your life. You still wish you had your way with another's way of living and you'll never succeed in that foolish way of thinking.

You have learned of Jesus, so when you finally met Jesus you can't use the excuse you never knew.

You avoided answering how your proofless "christian" explanation is any different to thousands of other proofless religions that claim their gods created everything.

I don't have blind faith in my beliefs. If I don't have proof of something I don't automatically believe in magic that would be called "magical thinking" or an appeal to ignorance. I trust people to an extent but if someone tells me a cosmic wizard created man out of dust a woman from a rib put them in a magical garden with a talking snake with a magic tree. I immediately think you better have some extraordinary proof or I become concerned for your mental health.

If I have a certain belief I will tell you exactly why its true and supply appropriate evidence to back up my claim.
So no you do NOT have same reason for believing as me. If you did you would bring proof.

No one said you can't brainwash yourself to believe a convenient fairytale without proof. You go ahead and talk to an invisible daddy figuire if it makes you happy, but i am here to tell you its unnecessary.

I did answer your question. You just refuse to believe it is proof.

God himself showed me by my faith. Therefore I have my proof by my faith.

Hebrews 11:6, which explains how seeking God requires faith.

Proverbs 3:5-6, on trusting God instead of human logic.
