But with all of your resources strained including a growing constraint on internet access the reality will be despair and not reignitated enthusiam.
Russians in the major cities have been kept away from the war realities afar from their everyday life. Now it hits them ferociously with fear being a constant companion when you hear the drones.

Unfortuneatly most analysts don't see any deescalation on the horizon.

So we'll continue to see lose-lose situations.

Internet restrictions are a booster for propaganda; thus, bankrupt traders risk becoming the locomotive in an infinitely long line of volunteers, which, against the backdrop of obvious mobilization problems in Ukraine, would indeed become a true lose-lose situation, as you rightly pointed out. Ultimately, for indoctrination, an ordinary person only needs to directly encounter war- losing loved ones, property, or health- and to form an opinion about who is to blame, they won't go to YouTube for a dose of NAFO propaganda or a 4-hour lecture by Mearsheimer on geopolitics. Instead, they're more likely to lynch the nearest Ukrainian or take up arms. For Putin, there has never been a better opportunity to consolidate public support around the regime through war.

In which marvel multiverse would committing war crimes against civilians help Ukranians win over Russian sympathies? If anything they consolidate people to persevere until the threat is eliminated.

Sadly, Ukranian civilian riots have so far been ineffective in getting rid of the far right that have usurped Ukranian democracy and western strategy has been to support aforementioned unsavory characters in not to yielding to Russian demands and fighting this proxy war until there are no able bodied Ukranians left to send into the meatgrinder.

Ukraine war is not about good vs. evil, but about escalation dominance. The sooner we stop dressing this conflict in childish moral hysteria, the sooner we can deal with it sensibly

I really doubt the pampered, privileged middle class from Moscow or Saint Petersburg will suddenly be keen to be sent to the meatgrinder in Ukraine, nor do I believe that they're stupid enough to be unaware of the death toll on the front. Jingoism typically appeals more to the rubes and than to urban elites.

Sellers on Wildberries are far from being priveleged middle-class Muscovites or Petersburgers, and their income often barely exceeds a soldier's salary. On top of that, they have loans that won't be written off as force majeure- unlike the payouts for lost goods resulting from new attacks. And an army contract, besides millions in signing bonuses, also includes debt forgiveness of up to 10 million rubles, if I remember correctly. Isn't that motivation for someone who has just lost their business?
