What I ended up doing with the intel you guys provided;

Is I went for 20 on bind demon, so put 11 in there, 9 skills where from gear. Then I grab enough to have 3 demons; one tainted for consome, one defiler for split damage and now currently looking for a cursed hephastos with fana.

Sound decent?

The idea is to max consume till I hit -FR diminshing returns then I dont know where to put the rest tbh.

You need to max Bind Demon with 20 hard points - not level 20 skill counting your gear if you want to bind Hephasto or Lister. Fanaticism aura is worthless for a fire warlock, get holy freeze and cursed, it procs amp damage on aura pulse. How many points needed in consume to get the -15/+20 benefit depends on the rest of your gear. Put the rest the points into Demonic Mastery.

Search games until you get tz game that is cursed. Go to ancients way and see if the spear woman is there without revealing too many ( this ruins them). If spear woman is there Shard act5 so it’s now tz. Go to ancients way and bind spear woman ( but not the pack you checked before sharding they won’t get the affix ) until you get one with holy freeze ( helps proc amp faster)

but if that’s too hard just get hephasto or lister or something

Since were skipping heph here. How many points would you chuck into bind demon then, 10? 15? less or more. Since 20 hard points is hephasthos.

it needs to reach 20 with your +skills at least to get the aura. So as long as you hit that then whatever. The more you put the stronger she’ll be though

Ill assume finding a cursed dark lancer with holy freeze is gonna take... awhile.

As long as you have level 20+ bind demon including +skills from items, all you need to do is:
>find any 8 player game with Cursed terror zone affix and high level game maker, preferably 92+ (searching public baal/chaos runs for example, and you just some some % hp if it isn't 8 players)
>duck into the four areas that can spawn lancers and scout as little as possible just to confirm lancers spawned. Each has 22% chance to pick lancers, in frigid highlands, frozen river, ancients way, worldstone keep 1
>once you confirm lancers in an area, pop an act 5 shard. Then teleport the REST of the area like mad, spawning in monsters as fast as you can / reveal the entire minimap
>bind normal trash mob lancers one at a time, damage them any small % and have something tank them like a 1 point goatmen, while you hold bind demon, and each time you bind you'll have 1/7 chance to roll holy freeze

Once you find the cursed p8 game, its 63% chance to have lancers. Once you have lancers confirmed, shard popped and the area prespawned, you're virtually guaranteed to get holy freeze + cursed on a P8 hp lancer
Since you only need to bind the trash mobs and there should be plenty of them for you to keep attempting it over and over again even if you fail or accidentally kill some

Naturally this is all vastly easier if you have 8 loader accounts, and harder as seasons go on and less players are in pubs

Sac a tainted and use a defiler and bound demon
Rest of your points can go wherever you want

This is for apoc/flame wave lock with a sunder and -65+ efr from gear right?

Yeah its needlessly convoluted when it takes hard point thresholds in bind demon to bind champions/uniques/super uniques, but soft point thresholds to get the added monster affixes. So 20 hard points to bind a super unique, but 20 soft points to add random aura enchanted
And it takes 5+ soft points to upgrade a normal mob to a unique, which locks in its terrorized affix. Which doesn't apply to minions/uniques/champions/superuniques you bind in terror zones, only to trash mobs, but only with 5+ soft points
And demonic mastery applies its soft point value of stats only as you join each game. Same with the +resists/etc on blood oath, except the +% life on blood oath doesn't apply to bound demons at all, herp a derp
And the actual +damage / +% damage applied by bind demon itself is also recalculated each time you join a game, caring about your soft level as you join the game- not what it was bound with
And that's all contrasting other skills like summon tainted using base skill level of blood boil to determine its synergy, which scales with hard points but has no thresholds


Notably since the removal of conviction aura on bound demons there just aren't many bound demons that can contribute anything other than raw DPS and tanking. The holy freeze + cursed gets you the max benefit of the highest physical dps, some crowd control from the aoe slow and boosting your merc DPS. You can get more tanking if you bind a Grotesque and have it spawn its minions, but it attacks slower / less frequently than a spearwoman so you're trading off bound demon DPS to get some extra tanking. This is, however, worthwhile if you have a very low level bound demon and just want it to tank. But at level 20+ soft points needed to get the aura, you already have extremely high bound demon DPS available, even if it is prebuff swap gear.
