I'm far less interested in "whether Christianity" is fake or not.
It would be terrifying if it were true.
Christianity has in it the call for genocide, the rape of women, the enslavement of people, witch burning, torture of children for disobedience, and genital mutilation. All of which are abhorent, yet christianity and the books of the bible mention these things not to address them or combat them, but to endorse them.
I don't know if it's true or not, but if the christian god is real, that god has to be evil.
So, I can somewhat understand how people believe in god, but I can't understand how the people who believe in god aren't angry with him for being evil.
They hold a two tier justice system in their heads.
They don't see god as wrong or evil even though any human doing those same things would be labeled as such. This is built into their perverted worldview that allows them to use god as an excuse for any terrible acts of violence or criminal behavior.
"Its ok because god wills it" they say. How do we know its god? We can't because he is unknowable and unmeasurable. Yet to them he exists.
We see many atrocious acts being committed in the name of god. Thats a feature not a bug. Its an excuse to do what you want without consequence. Especially for authority who utilize religion.
