im not following you. you'd want heavens light as a mainhand weap and run a cta on swap... no cube needed since it isnt an mf farmer and run as many charms as you can.
if you dont need to max anything else out, you want more and more life...

if youve got lw or a grief, you ought to be using one of those.

not worth it, just run one or the other. the difference in time it will take to finish off the ubers is pretty negligible for most players.

i think the argument for lw would be alot stronger, if you couldnt get all the other things it provides from other sources. but since you can pre-buff fade and have other ways of getting lifetap into the build, grief is easily no.1 imho
if your weapon swap doesnt need to be a cta since youve got a friend or a bo barb, a life tap wand is a solid option. you can then run grief and skip exile and/or draculs.

i normally run gores and gface + grief. thats enough cb for me. the other thing that bugs me about lw, is no ias...

If you're just doing DC, you prob won't need enigma, so you don't have nearly as much str. That makes CoA a big str investment, but it's still fine to use. Shako is good too.
I would recommend fort & phoenix to maximize dmg. Add some source of Cannot Be Frozen (cham/ravenfrost).

Just be sure to charge DC (or w.e) to proc Prevent Monster Heal, unless you have open wounds somewhere else.

I’m also a rather large fan of the Shacko with bert rune to pair it with.

This will pair you with best in possible theory crafting slot and quality of life, kill speed, and Shacko has +2 skills with MF bonus too.

If you only plan on killing Dclone - Grief 100%. Life tap is only needed if you are doing Uber Tristram or Colossal Ancients.

If I could choose, I'd go with LW. And DClone is easy compared to Ubers(Tristram and Ancients).

While I haven't checked the BPs but I'll consider something like Horazon Gloves + Boots, Duress, TGods if I do Ubers.

Last Wish can make any smite build work with any gear, it's fun to use and level 17 might adds some extra damage. Swapping gear around constantly to make a build work is my least favorite way to play, so not having to swap treachery (or forgetting to) is nice. Every mod on LW is relevant and useful.

Grief is injecting +400 damage, deadly strike + other mods is useless on smite and the gear needed to run it is more "involved" requiring particular pieces with no substitutes.

Dual LW A5 Frenzy merc with stacked level 34 might is a tanky beast that's also fun. I use it on 2 builds, one being an Uber smiter I can swap grief with my fade prematurely fades...
