Anyone else feel the same? Endless botted items, no new quests or thrills. Just the same regurgitation of content like tzones etc. Every game you enter now is a tzones game. The pvp on this game is just completely non existent. And very lackluster. The items and builds are still all the same. One armor is absolutely mandatory for every class why can't they fix that?
I find this game very boring tbh.
I agree about enigma, but... this is a game that makes you focus on your life. If you don't mix it with money; you may only find the end in sight after playing way more than what it cost you. Then you can return whenever and find the same power from your character which is something you can't really find in modern games (they raise the cap endlessly: Tz kind of did this, but I think it addressed some lacking aspects and making it more accessible to reach 99). If you did use money to acquire your items: you're s.o.l and ruined your own experience. You set your own goals is basically what life is. That being said, I agree that they could do this one thing to make it endlessly fun and bots wouldn't really matter anymore. People might be afraid of this, but - if you consider most components and moving parts - allowing it will make players enjoy the game a hell of a lot more. Allowing us to reroll 1 selected modifier randomly in the cube Only on rare items. Rare items have 3-6 random modifiers and synergies are already rare without even accounting for the fact that they rarely roll 6x. When they do, it gets 4/6 and they're hardly ever well rolled. The one selected modifier would be random and could be rerolled endlessly given that you have the materials (mats could be 1x standard of heroes+a1-5 shards to select the modifier in your cube... some combinaison for the missing 6th and, perhaps, staff mods?). This would make players enjoy the hunt for rares and choose between which gradient of MF they want most. 2 mods would be gated by specific requirements found on the item... Mechanic's: would require the item to have rolled 1 socket inherently (not from larzuk) and the item would still roll a random modifier (keep rolling rolling rolling - L.B... xD). Ethereal require the item to have rolled self-replenish. That way, eth 2os would only be possible if the item was already 1socket and self-repair... that way, humans could compete with bots and bots would become almost obsolete.
I suspect the only people that would oppose to this bot and will protest without much of any substance/address the elephant in the room (their fear of change). 3/6 items would open up to players as potentially gg and bots also cannot kill ubers. One more trading token also makes it so that the game has even more ways to trade/make items accessible for your own fantasy. All within reason, obviously. And while there will always be people to exploit things, the culprit always was blizzard about botting in this game. More people playing has always meant more sales of a thing... not allowing fairness to be a component of a thing makes people walk away from it. This is a fundamental in life that most people on this platform will never grasp. This and selling stash tabs so that players can keep/compare items any way they want. It would also signal the devs that the players like the changes that come along. Poe did this 20 years ago now? xD Look at them now. Still going strong and it's still the same game. Each season they add something and make sure to listen to the feedback (not necessary with d2 they can just add this feature and be done with it imo xD... rest: tweaking already existing skills... poison dagger necro could turn into physical damage if iron golem is maxed/applying it twice could "detonate" the previous dot's damage... poison pots could cast poison explosion: it's the least used spell in d2r aside from curses that could be slightly improved).
