addone doing the dance with definitions. it says one thing addone demands another.
national geographic says its a snake. addone does his dance and says its a lizard
losing a function isnt 'evolution
which should also mean you cant reject the ones you dont like
nobody would think its a river bank
why not just post the actual scripture
o? so now snake also means serpent. ok
You 100% cherrypicked the article I bet you it says snakes EVOLVED from a distant lizard that had legs. You claimed snake means a deceitful person why are you showing me a picture of a snake or a prehistoric lizard that is evolving to be a snake? Own yourself much?
Losing function is evolution. This isn’t oops I injured my leg and can't use it type of situation. An entire branch of evolution adapts physiologicaly to its environment. The genetic makeup of an animal changes completely to something else. How do you not know basic biology?
Nobody thinks its a deceitful person. All christians agree its a serpent I even provided you a link to Hebrew lexicon in a bible from a christian point of view. You are literally arguing against Christian narrative itself lol.
What a strange hill to die on.
one of the things i have learned in my time interacting with 'atheists is they are very gifted at giving an air of authority, can be intimidating.
when i first started researching i was some kind of agnostic so i wasnt intimidated at all.
i viewed it that if God wasnt true i could keep drinking and could quit concerning myself. but if he was true then i had problems.
so "atheists didnt intimidate me so i would check up on their claims. i found a lot of bullchit. :)
addone is trying to give it off like he is some kind of authority when it comes to the word nachash (נָחָשׁ) ..........ya bullchit the 'atheist is only an authority when it comes to bullchittery
here is an interesting read. 'atheists always offer great potential for bible study :)
Hebrew Word Study: SERPENT or SHINING ONE (NAHASH)
by Dr. Eitan Bar 9 minutes read
https://eitan.bar/articles/hebrew-word-study-serpent-nahash/No I don't claim to be an authority I literally quoted you the definition directly from a christian source. You are mad at me but its not "addone's" definition its a hebrew definition from the bible itself.

The article you quoted proves my point. Did you even read it?
The serpent in the bible is a magical variety that had legs and perhaps even wings which is NOT a person but a magical dragon creature which some christians belief.
Direct quotes from your article
"the NAHASH in Genesis was not a lowly creature slithering in the dirt—it was a radiant, upright, possibly
winged being"
"John, in Revelation, speaks of “a great
fiery red dragon” (Revelation 12:3) and “the great dragon… that ancient serpent, called the devil, or Satan.” (Revelation 12:9)"
Nowhere in the article does it say serpent was a deceitful person. You just owned yourself .... again...
