Just came back after 3+ year hiatus and I am seeing that we are being segregated...so I am basically forced to buy the new xpac just to play? Games on both ladder and nonladder have maybe 6-7 lobbies on normal and hell , and only one game on nightmare...lolwut...

Nothing wrong with playing expansion (non-rotw). I am keeping from converting most of my characters yet as I am not convinced Blizz won't completely destroy the game with future updates.

The only problem is that seemingly less than half the population who still plays on here speaks English. Or speaks at all. Very strange feeling to talk to an entire lobby and no one seems to hear your call.

but yea, you found how they decided to monetize d2r as a game as a service. Stop buying new updates, get left to fend for yourself among the alien horde. gl!
