150 fg per soj? Yea, I know leveling in classic is harder than expansion, but imbue is clearly the way to go here. Self rush and chaos to lvl 77 or whatever you want, you get 3x imbue per char, as well as rare rings from Akara and Ormus, and 3 forges to top it off. Or pay 450 fg for the equivalent in rare rerolls alone.

The math ain't mathin'.

In fact, come to think of it, you can get to hell at level 1 in classic without a grush as well since no ancients/baal gatekeep. I might have to make a classic rusher on my alt account for this reason alone.

bro trying to spend 150k fg for a weapon to kill diablo repeatedly with the 3 other classic players when bonesnap works fine

thats 7500 fg for 50 rolls. id rather buy scratchoffs or shitcoins. Leveling characters for imbue and quests not only leaves you in the positive, you gain a shitload of resources and crafting mats along the way. Not to mention the very unid rares you are trying to roll in addition to others. Convert your character afterwards and sell the socket quests and bumps to hell, seems like a no brainer to me unless you are ok with dumping fg into an endless hole.

To be fair though, I would also rather use my imbues on expansion than classic. Because eventually you end up with items like this:

I commented on the YT vid but we had basically this weapon On USEast HC back in the very very early days. In like late 2000.

It was a blue exec, 104 one hand with +2 skills, AR (obv), dual leech (not just mana steal as I said on YT), and -40%. It was fucking nuts.

Domina imbued it (I think it was an imbue) and ended up giving/trading it to Slyng_Blade who then ended up moving it to Dacypalz.

It was a small, somewhat tight knit community in Hell HC in the first (pre-LoD) year where you got to know pretty much everyone who was xping in pubs. Here's a ladder screenshot from Jan 2001 with many names I still recognize, including Domina who I mentioned making the sword to begin with..



Edit: I'd play the shit out of classic if it was 1.06
