So your defense is to play dumb with me now?
You haven't demonstrated authority only appealed to faulty logic while pleading ignorance.
Council of nicea changed cannon for example fundumental nature of jesus. You stated how your religion didn't change yet when I pointed out that contraception, slavery, child marriage and how gays are dealt with are all changes within your framework changed you just asserted that they are merely allowances granted by authority.
If your laws are not held consistently throughout all time and by every bishops/pope/clergy then they are NOT laws they are merely suggestions. Remember your worldview is entirely dependent who is interpreting the scripture at any given time. That effectively renders scripture redundant only the interpretation of the appointed authority matters. Since you cannot provide any proof of this so called authority much less criticism of their interpretations your argument as good as void.
"Council of nicea changed cannon for example fundumental nature of jesus."
can you demonstrate this? What was the Church's stance before and after? What changed, be specific.
" I pointed out that contraception, slavery, child marriage and how gays are dealt with are all changes within your framework changed you just asserted that they are merely allowances granted by authority."
Where? What "pastors" in the USA dealing with slavery were Eastern Orthodox bishops? What are you talking about? Where did child marriage or how gays are dealt with change in the Church?
I explained what oikonomia is in the context of contraceptives and explained how it is not a dogmatic change like the filoque or vatican II, but somehow you are incapable of understanding this. I think it's an intelligence issue. It is a pastoral mercy, not that it's accepted as "good" in the same way Christ allows us to repent, it is a mercy to lead us to being healed not some courtroom legal mindset.
Can you tell me the difference between dogma and oikonomia?
"If your laws are not held consistently throughout all time and by every bishops/pope/clergy then they are NOT laws they are merely suggestions."
Which laws are changed? Are you speaking of dogma? which ones are changed and when?
"Remember your worldview is entirely dependent who is interpreting the scripture at any given time. That effectively renders scripture redundant only the interpretation of the appointed authority matters. Since you cannot provide any proof of this so called authority much less criticism of their interpretations your argument as good as void."
My worldview is not dependent on who is interpreting the scripture at any given time, why would that be the case? This is the protestant position, are you lost so quickly?
How would it be the case that if the Holy Spirit guides and protects the Church through heresies that arise (the reason for ecumenical councils to defend the faith once delivered to the apostles from the novel heretics occurred at all) it would make scripture redundant? Can you make an argument here?
Do you even know what the ecumenical councils are?
what do you mean by "proof of so called authority"?
