Act 1 merc can use a grand matron bow if you didn’t know she is an Amazon. She just cannot use any javelins due to it being a bowzon.
Act 2 uses 2h spears, act 3 uses a shield and one handed weapons act 5 can be either 2 handed or two one handed weapons depending on their specialized class chosen.

a1 can use gmb? oh ok didnt know.. thought not...

You welcome, this information can be exceptionally useful when picking BiS merc gear as some runewords and gear can gives auras and massive buffs to your characters.

atm i use pride... wanna try with faith.

Faith is the best for physical damage in higher capacity, pride is good for aura stacking if using multiple aura items at the same time.

So it’s based on your playstyle, i use insight a2 merc for my speed for rushes etc, if not rising i swap it out to the a1 merc to boost my damage output which is already exceptionally high.

Merc act 1 best in slot for throw Barb with faith coh cure. With the rest of your gear you can hit 7frames on attack which looks your Barb has gone insane on screen.
