I don’t fully endorse any one person honestly, barely anyone at all. I never cared about politics in high school and none of my friends did either. Now look at things, boomers basically pushed our whole generation into this Left vs Right mindset. A bunch of my friends became hardcore liberals after 2016 and made it their whole identity. I joined the USMC, and at one point a drill instructor even tried to tell me who not to vote for. I only mention it because it shows how chaotic and contradictory the political pressure around me was back then.
Over time, I started losing faith in the entire government, the scandals, the corruption, the fraud allegations, the constant sense that nobody’s actually accountable. Even though I’ve voted conservative in the last three presidential elections, I don’t support the endless war machine or the way our politics keeps manufacturing division. I’m still not even sure what actually “red‑pilled” me or why, it feels more like I just woke up to how broken the whole system is.

The left vs right ideology has always in existed in some form. It was personified and labeled after the French Revolution.

It's because progressivism by definition changes constantly. It constantly shifts the goal post of beliefs/norms.

Modern conservatives, for the most part, are liberals from the 90s or 2000s.

I was a hard-core anarchist/leftist until Covid and an inability to justify abortion logically as well as the blatant attack on free speech.

The right isnt exempt from the latter to some degree, but it's less by a large margin.
