Wait wait, so we spend $70 BILLION dollars bombing Iran, then we give them a $300 BILLION fund for them to rebuild, which supposedly doesn't include any payment from the US, but we also unfreeze $24 BILLION in Iranian assets...
All for... *checks notes*... being literally back where we were before the war began
MAN WHAT A DEAL!!!
What a clown show.
You should have read the post before replying to it. As far as we know, the terms of the deal rely on Iran giving up their stockpile of HEU and abandoning their enrichment program.
In spite of what many of the dumber posters here have consistently tried to convince themselves of, this conflict has always been about preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
We also killed a lot of the worst guys in the world and the UAE is out of OPEC. Two great results.
Obviously the ideal would have been regime change but so long as their HEU is handed over/destroyed and they stop enriching, this is a victory for the planet and there's no reasonable way to pretend otherwise.
