so the numbers of 10,000 to 40,000 Iranians killed by their government is just this past January wasnt a crime against humanity? lol
i made a brief add on to my previous post, ill repeat it here in case you missed it : To expand on this, as you have outlined, the US and Iran are currently at war. It is normal for the US, in such circumstances, to be careful when hosting an international event which includes Iran.
The numbers of 10,000 to 40,000, Iranians kills by their government, was a claim published in Time Magazine. Actually let me put it another way: In December of last year an economic attack was carried out by the US and Israel against Iran, attempting to destabilise its currency and its government. This was after the US and Israel bombed Iran last year in retaliation for Oct 7th which was in part funded by Iran. Anyway, Iran originally stated that some 2700 protestors were killed in the protests. This was later revised upwards to 3117 killed. When you attempt to carry out a coup against a Government, it comes with risks, especially in Iran. Independent Human Rights agencies had a figure of 4500 killed. The figure of 40,000 is from Time Magazine which posted an article at the time. It was in effect a pretext for the US to Bomb Iran, and the US and Israel said they carried out all these bombing, economic attack, further bombings to...save the Iranian people from the Gov of Iran. Yes you heard that right, that is the narrative we were given. The timing of the pretext was problematic noting Israel had not fully resupplied their military from 2025 so they asked the US to hold off a few months prior to the 2026 joint bombing of Iran, at which point a lot more people died, in Iran, by US and Israeli Bombs. Should I mention the girls primary school that the US dropped bombs on, killing literally everyone in the school?
So when you talk about Crime Against Humanity, it gets complicated very very fast. If a foreign Gov, say Russia, influenced America, and had your leader assassinated, caused your Gov to collapse, and there were mass riots, and deaths, do you blame the Gov for killing the protestors, do you blame the protesters for protesting or do you blame the foreign state that set the wheels in motion?
and how would a country do this without discrimination?
looks to me like you just can not pass up an opportunity to call the US racist...
I did not call the US racist, i said it (the US Government) was discriminating against certain nations. These are not the same thing. Also by America, or the US, I presume you are referring to the current US or American Gov, and not its people, noting in debate when we say things like "Israel" we mean the current Gov, and not the entire population of Israel. ditto for the US. context and language matter. The western world likes America. It does not like the current administration because the current administration has done little for us to like. This does not mean that we hate America.
