Oh look, a cherry picked verse rather than the entire message.
The Amalekites are portrayed longstanding enemies of Israel who attacked vulnerable Israelites during the Exodus. God was judging a nation for generations of violence and hostility. The command is seen not as ordinary warfare but as a unique judicial act carried out through Israel. God, as the giver of life, has authority over life and death in a way humans do not.
The Amalekites attacked the Jewish people when they were escaping Egypt but the Jewish people weren't on their territory.
This is known as treachery. Ie: an act of war.
Retribution followed.
Just like I said before. You are focused on the donkey being in the wrong rather than the guy who is beating the donkey.
You are focusing on the Jewish people being wrong in this verse too rather than the people who attacked them unjustly in the first place.
You are also attacking righteous people in this thread like Balaam did to the Donkey and the Amalekites did to the Jews. If you don't understand that this can be detrimental to your health and wellbeing we are here to kindly remind you about that.
'atheists are the most brutal and bloodthirsty people ever to rise up. never in the whole history of the world has anyone brought more misery to the world then 'atheists
record lies murders abortions imprisonment. his real objection about amalekites is the resentment of judgement
(its past time to conclude the 'atheist experiment)
