Several people dont know how to get into level 30 lld and also dont want to commit a huge budget into it. This character is relatively cheap to make and can hold its own vs most chars. Hopefully this guide helps someone get started :)


Overview
:

The charged strike amazon does better in teams, but can hold its own in 1 vs 1
Your main skill will be Charged Strike(duh) with lightning bolt/fury as backup.

Skills
:

Bow: none, you're not a dang bowazon

Passive and magic: 1 into Dodge/Avoid/Evade

Javelin and Spear: Max Charged strike and light bolt and 1 into prereqs. Dont bother with light fury unless you have Expensive eth rep ed ceremonials. Dump rest into Power Strike

Stats
:

Str and dex for gear and max block, rest vitality

Gear
:

Helmets:

Option 1: 1 Zon/30frw/20fcr circlet with Adds like life/resist. The 20 fcr is optimal for 63fcr with viper, but you can maybe get away without the 20fcr, although not recommended, but the 30frw is a must

Option 2: Peasant Crown, this is the budget option if you dont have a decent circlet.

Amulet:

Option 1: 1 zon/life + adds such as mana, res etc .. doesn't need explaining

Option 2: Eye of etlich for +1 all skills

Rings:

Only option: Sojs, +1 all skills x 2

Belt:

Only option: Goldwrap, we need the 10ias on it for the 50ias breakpoint

Armors:

You will need multiple, just get what you can afford

Vipermagi(ideally 35 res/13mdr), use this when you want 63fcr or need to stack resist

Peace RW in a light base (Lp/Mp/Bp) use this when you dont need Cannot be frozen(or use whistan with half freeze duration, but cbf is better) and also when needed for an 8th Bolt with charged strike, more on this later..

Spirit Shroud, 1 all skills and cannot be frozen, use this when cannot be frozen is unavoidable(mostly vs barbs with cold dmg, or blizz sorc)

Gloves:

2jav and spear/10ias gloves, self explanatory

Boots: Sanders, no other option and they are cheap. 40frw and 15 stats

Shields:

You should only really need 2 shields, Whistans guard, and Sigon Tower shield.
Sigon can help you get to 8 bolts, but it is a heavier armor so it will penalize your frw. Test this yourself based on your opponent. Use whistans otherwise.

Another option is a rare 30/20/2 soc shield with adds like eth/rep etc with 2x ed jewels but again, only an option if u have over the top ceremonials

Weapons:

4jav and spear/30ias maidens/ceremonials. Maidens give you the best life result due to being lowest req. Dont recommend ceremonials unless they are godly eth rep ones with massive ED. Knockback is also a nice add but its not required

Swap side Tele staff with 20fcr/tele charges, no other choice.

Inventory:

This is why this character is cheap. You can run plain 15 life scs and plain 3frw scs.
Of course tweak it to what you need... Resists/mana, etc. also recommend using 1x cold damage sc, helps vs chars without cbf and lets you catch them a few more times.

Gm rulesets in lld is usually 115frw cap(so 15x 3frw with sanders+circ) but u can lower when needed.

I would at least aim for a mana roll on amulet and a couple scs so you can throw more javs if needed

Most times you will be at 7 bolts of CS but if you wear peace or sigon u can get it up to 8 bolts. Just depends on matchup and opponent

Jewel/Socket slots:

Use whatever you can get, i recommend using pruby in helm for life, then dex/all res jewels in armor or just use pruby as well. Also recommended a cold dmg jewel with adds as a 2nd source of cold dmg for shield(s). Multiple sources will stack chill time, and give u some free CS's


Unsummon lock

You will use this in certain matchups if not all... Make a hotkey for unsummon. Lock your opponent with cs or bolt or fury. Swap to unsummon as they run. Tap weapon swap and you will teleport(provided you set teleport ahead of time)while keeping the lock. Just make sure to tap w again after landing to seap back to attacking

Dueling Strategies for 1 vs 1:


Vs Bowa: Teleport in and cs them down, wearing sigons might harm you catching them so use whistan if so. If they are able to gather some distance, fire a few lightning bolts(or fury if you have the damage). Use 75 light resist if possible. This matchup should be in your favor

Vs jab or another cs: certain angles can make more bolts hit, figure it out and hold cs

Vs trapper: teleport smartly and chuck bolt/fury if u can to force movement. chase them with cs, you can out damage them as long as you arent taking a 4-5 stack of traps

Vs blade/kicker: just hold cs, u win

Vs Bone nec: Teleport and cs when able, but they have tracking projectiles and u dont, as well as bone prison. This is definitely in the necros favor.

Vs ww barb: You can usually drop all your frw scs and focus on life, since they have to be near you to damage you. Make sure to use walk and not run, as well as shift cs to avoid getting hit. Throw bolt/fury when they are out of range a little bit. This is all rng based on ww hit and damage rolls as well as cs bolts connecting

Vs any other melee barb: hold cs, u win, go figure

Lets get 1 thing clear vs any paladin: If they have foh, they can win all the time if they really want to (although if they have to play that lame, the duel isnt that fun)

Vs Smite/Vt: Dont try to tank right away, try to get some bolts or furys in, and teleport in ways where you can hit them with CS before they hit you. But smite usually wins in a straight up tanking duel esp with knockback/stun.

Vs Charger: You lose most of the time. Chargers are overpowered for 1 vs 1 and can charge in and out till they 1 pop you which wont take long. Stand still (and walk, not run) and throw bolt/fury and cs if u get the chance, but its rough with the forced knockback from charge.

Vs hdin/libby: Throw bolts/furys at them and try to get in a cs when you can if u chase them. Careful with libby charge.

Vs Wind druid: You will die if u try to tank nados vs their cyclone armor straight up, just try to get at a good angle and maybe itll work for you, but this is def a matchup where fury damage would be better

Vs fury/melee: hold cs, win

Vs Sorc: You lose, free teleport is just insanely op and you will most likely never catch them unless they purposely give u a chance. But fb outtanks cs, and blizz is a cast and run class... And no1 really plays lightning or nova but you'd prob have a chance vs nova.

Inputs/Thoughts for tweaking this later welcome.

Kb is really nice to get on your jav, 4/30/kb is def something to aim for. Slams with lb and helps a lot vs dins too. I wouldn’t stand still vs charger but nl them while walking and just hold it for the most part, seems to work well vs them and def forces them into 1h if you have good cold dmg. It might help to explain to those who don’t know why you are recommending multiple sources of cold damage: the chill durations from multiple sources stack, which is really nice here (inventory counts as 1 source so multiple charms won’t help)
