lmao clueless
NATO went all in supporting Ukraine and now they're finding out. That Ukraine is corrupt is true, corrupt officials are lining their pockets which is something I've always pointed out. Regular Russia-Ukraine posters know it, you don't. My earlier post apparently hurt your feelings that's why you're suddenly bitching about Ukraine in an Iran topic.
And your WW2 comments are so wrong it shows exactly how clueless you really are. The allied landing in Normandy (Allied landings not just US landings) happened in 1944, Germany had been fighting the red army from june 1941 and had suffered massive losses. About 75-80% of German losses occured on the Eastern front. Imagine all those Germans sitting there, al those crack divisions waiting for them to land. It was the best trained and best equipped army in the world before they invaded the USSR. They would've totally wrecked the allied invasion force no doubt about it.
Soviet manpower bore the brunt of the fighting,
American industrial aid via the Lend-Lease Act ($11+ billion in supplies, worth nearly $200 billion today) was the irreplaceable backbone that kept the USSR from collapse.
The critical numbers behind the U.S. intervention include:
400,000+ Trucks and Jeeps: Supplied by the U.S., making up nearly 1/3 of the entire Soviet logistics fleet by 1945 and providing the vital mobility needed for counter-offensives.
1,900 Locomotives & 622,000 Tons of Steel Rails: Kept the Soviet railway network running after the USSR completely halted its own train production to focus on tanks.
2.5 Million Tons of Aviation Fuel: Fueled the vast majority of Soviet fighter planes; without this high-octane American fuel, the Soviet air force would have been largely grounded.
4.5 Million Tons of Food: Fed a starving nation and military after the USSR lost its primary agricultural lands to the German advance.
As Joseph Stalin himself stated flatly at the Tehran Conference in 1943: "Without the machines we received through Lend-Lease, we would have lost the war.
