I saw a couple other interviews of black males outside saying they'd never send a young brother to jail for anything.
Sometime in the near future we're gonna have to look at this with the big boy lens attached and accept some uncomfortable realities that a lot of us already know.

There's plenty of black folks that would sit on that jury and do the right thing. The justice system is purposefully ignoring those people.

Would you say its the majority of black people who would do the right thing in this scenario?

Its a learned and maybe even manufactured lack of accountability. There is a lot of things that play a factor in how things have turned out but I certainly believed that the current glorification of violence and criminal behavior portrayed by "role models" makes an impact. Pair that with having little to no responsibilities does create issues when it comes to establishing moral and immoral behaviors.

People are pissed and systemic racism's not ever going to get any better. That's an extremely difficult question to answer. Probably not. But this isn't the way to fight it either. Standing directly outside of a courthouse and saying, in front of a microphone, that you'll never put someone in jail because of their race is a good way for lawyers to continue the practices they did in this court case.

Probably not.

I appreciate the honesty.

If that were the case then it really does not matter because he would have still been found guilty. For the people in the crowd to claim having black jurors would have changed the outcome is to imply the black jurors would have ignored evidence to change the outcome and find a murderer innocent.

Yeah it was incredibly stupid for those people to say potentially on a microphone and on camera that just because they're the same race they would let them do whatever they want and not face any repercussions. It's almost like "hey my race people do that same stuff for me we should all do that stuff for each other. Weird behavior.

Absolutely. Until their goal is to remain impartial, rather than to stand in solidarity no matter the crime. We likely won't see many black jurors in racial charged cases. That is not to say black people are incapable of remaining impartial because I agree with you there are some who would have. Those few likely were not interviewed or didnt draw the jury duty straw this time around.

Tho I do understand their worry in the crowd, had the shoe been on the other foot and a white kid murdered a black kid and there were no white jurors im sure that would be alarming as well.

This isn't coded in any racist jumbo, it's that tribalism is taking over actual law.

UK has an interesting event going on right now too.
Been following it a bit.

the OJ simpson jurors recently came out and said that 90% of them said not guilty just to stick it to the white man in response to the rodney king beating, smh weak minded people

I recall hearing something about that. Its a terrible thing to do and completely ruins the idea of law and order. But either way jokes still on them they willingly and knowingly let a murderer walk free because they were mad at the world. Nobody respects those type of people.
