wait seriously? That's crazy.

Unfortunate, jury was lenient.
Should have never been able to see the sun again imo.
Oh well, he'll be someone's toy in prison prolly wish he was up for capital punishment and got that instead.

$600,000 donated through a gofundme for this murderer btw.
Family burned through it all, none of it went to his defense.

They did hire a lawyer tho, it’s a common misconception that he had a public defender but he didn’t

Hahahaha he just got sentenced to 35 years in Texas prison, enjoy your cage, bro

Yeah hes prolly not getting out of this one.

Just gonna agree to disagree.
I don't think there is anything you could say to make me come to that side.
We could say the same thing about not being a career criminal, literal clean slate, and prior problems for many murder cases I suspect.

Im sure we could say that yes. And I guess my stance is that I dont think all murderers are inherently bad people. Gary plauche comes immediately to mind. I think full life sentences (death by incarceration) and death penalty should be reserved for the truly heinous crimes committed by truly bad people.

A childhood friend of mine committed and was found guilty of first degree murder when he was 18 or 19 and got 35 or 40 years ( i cant recall the exact number). And even tho I haven't spoken to him in probably 18 years or so im fairly confident hes filled with regret and would never re offend if and when he is released.

You lost me there
I'd give you manslaughter, but not first degree murder.

Have a good one.

We will have to do what you said and agree to disagree. I dont think you're wrong in your firm beliefs and held the same belief as you for a long time. Over the years I've changed my stance a bit.

Yeah his defense lawyer did start as a public defender though so I think that’s why people think that, but I’d assume all lawyers have to start as public defenders but I really have no idea

I really dont believe that anyone truly believed he was innocent. Those people would have stood at his side and wanted him to walk free even if he admitted to pre meditating the murder.
