so can we say Robinson definitively took the shot that killed Charlie or are people still examining the fact that 30-06 does not make that small of an exit wound?

This is the only thing that truly should be discussed about his death

Who did it
And why

Clearly someone didnt like his nuances and I would put dollars to donuts he was a martyr for some sick right vs left cause

The more the two sides fight the easier it is to get away with shit

I agree that celebrating someone's death is wrong. Where I think the debate gets interesting is deciding what counts as legitimate criticism and what counts as trying to silence views we dislike. Free speech has never meant freedom from criticism, but it also shouldn't depend on whether we approve of the person speaking.

Disagree - That concept stems from judeo-christian beliefs, control levers.

With great rights like free speech comes greater responsibility on the individual. You are still liable for your words and the consequences even if government says otherwise. There is intelligence in propagating an idea anonymously rather riding on it publicly for profit.

Awwww did your feelings get hurt that no one cares that some misogynistic racist pos died?

"Buh buh buh you're taking it out of context reeee!"

Yea, no one cares. Even his wife moved on same day. Bet she enjoys those grifted millions, though.

Mentally ill. Truly.

You prove OPs point. Most post modern leftists make no arguments and just appeal to emotion.

You are told that quotes are taken out of context. Your response is REEEEE look at this. This person hated him....address the actual logic like a big boy 30-40 year old you are instead of "arguing" like a child.

Conted with the logic, not your opinion on the person.

I don't think rights carrying responsibility is uniquely Judeo Christian. That's a principle found across many philosophical traditions. I do agree that free speech doesn't remove accountability. You're still responsible for the consequences of your words. And anonymity can be valuable; sometimes ideas deserve to be judged on their merits rather than the identity of the person expressing them.

The man with the gun. As it always has been.

Power can silence a person, but it can't prove them wrong.

The “free” in free speech means free from both interference and retaliation.

If there are acceptable consequences in society for saying the wrong thing, you do not have free speech.

So if you say something mean to me, and i say something back, your speech isn't free?

I don’t know how you’re drawing that conclusion from my post. The bulk of the value of free speech is that it ensures open criticism of all viewpoints.

If I say something mean and you shoot me in the head and then a large portion of the population celebrates, those people do not support free speech. They are despicable.
