I lost my recovery email and in 2026 scams are everywhere how it is still not possible to link our accounts to a phone number like the steam authenticator?

Honestly, if they did it by phone number it would eliminate so many scammers who make multis.

true. It would make multis so much harder but at the same time they would restrict the site growth. I am sure that they want any growth they can get and they are ok with the occasional multi.

not hard getting your wife's phone number or mother/father/brother/sister etc to make multi account, so I dont think this solves it - I do like it for extra layer of security, but it won't stop multi imho

Mostly voted yes because the email link thing has just been broken for years - phone number would be infinitely easier in case you forget your pw.

It would not work where I live, you can just buy pay as you go simcard that you buy over the counter.

I think it's a great idea. At the same time though, people change numbers (although less frequently) like they change emails.




Growth is great due to the right reasons behind it. Growth due to multis on the site is not good growth, nor is it allowed.
