In effect the last 2 years can be summed up as "mowing the lawn". They are not addressing the root issue.
my point is every two week i have to mow my lawn, ergo what we have seen, we will see again. So to follow that train of thought, if ppl are pissed with Israel now, they will be really pissed in a few years time when they do it all over again.

At first I quoted your response to me but I think it’ll be best answering to this comment since it pretty much sums up the situation.
In my eye, and so does many Israelis, peace with the Palestinians is impossible due to their exaggerated claims and demands over any past (and future) negotiation.
In negotiation, same as in Oslo, you may agree on 8 points out of 10 and execute those. In every negotiation with the Palestinians that wasn’t the case. The “right to return” demand was a red line for them and if no agreement was met in that respect, the entire negotiation is a no go.
Hence, your comment here is a great one. Israel can’t solve the issue from its side, because the other side doesn’t want Israel’s and the international community’s solutions. Israel can do maximum effort in managing the conflict but not to solve it. Israel has only one thing that the Palestinians want and it’s something Israel can never give.
So yeah, we’ll be back in Gaza and there will be more bloodshed.
I just hope for a leadership that’ll make an effort to negotiate with the Palestinians and hopefully they’ll have a supportive leadership as well.

my back and forth earlier was to the effect that: In my opinion, If Israel wants lasting peace it has to do something different, noting repeating the same thing is likely to lead to the same result. The sustained bombing of Gaza, over 2 years, was a catastrophic mistake, and while it may take Israel decades to realise this, the sooner this is realised, the better, for Israel. A different road needs to be explored, yet is not being explored.

Kanye West (Ye) is an American rapper, producer, and fashion entrepreneur whose influence reshaped hip-hop and popular culture. Widely regarded as one of the most innovative artists of his generation, his career has been heavily overshadowed in recent years by repeatedly posting heavily antisemitic statements (and public controversies). He planned a european tour in 2026.

July 2025 – Slovakia: Rubicon Festival cancelled after backlash over antisemitic statements.
April 2026 – United Kingdom: Government denied entry, blocking planned Wireless Festival appearance.
April 2026 – France: Authorities sought to stop Marseille concert; event was postponed.
April 2026 – Poland: Government threatened entry ban; venue subsequently cancelled concert.
April 2026 – Switzerland: Basel stadium operators refused to host planned performance.
May 2026 – Italy: Authorities blocked concerts, citing security and public-order concerns.
May 2026 – Netherlands: Parliamentarians urged exclusion; government investigated legal options. Migration minister found no legal basis for exclusion.
June 2026 – Netherlands: Court rejected challenges seeking to stop Arnhem concerts. Performances proceeded, making Holland Europe's notable exception.

If it was 2024 there is no way Holland would have agreed to this, but well, times change, noting Holland is no longer firmly in the camp of Israel.

in the meantime Cenk Uygur, an outspoken America critic of Israel, has been banned from the UK. (no surprise here noting the UK aided Israel throughout the Gaza and Iran conflicts).
