Hello y'all, I don't wanna resurrect (lol) a dead topic that's been discussed over and over...

Does pre ROtW still have the best PvP scene? What is your experience? As an OG player I remained a purist for a long while. After playing a few ladders on D2:R I have a handful of characters that have not yet been converted to ROtW, so I'm debating if I should leave them that way for PvP sake...

most if not all converted, includig big pvp guilds/discords
exp is dead af, there's no pvp scene left there sadly
you can pvp in rotw without the new items
rotw is pretty active and even has an influx of new players

conclusion : time to convert

No everything is converted.

Just avoid warlocks and its not too bad

Some chars benefit quite hard from the new items too, like bvc with -10 sunderer (or 100% ed one if someone stacks over 50 dr) and the protectors stone 10-30 dmg with -10% dr and gheeds wager is also crazy for bvc

Everyone has converted to ROTW. I got sick of running TZ by myself and sitting in empty duel games for a hour hoping someone will join. ROTW is not all that bad, warlocks are powerful, but not 1 hit KO death machines like they were. There are free TZ run games with entire terrorized acts, endless baal runs, usually a couple duel games at any given time.

I haven't converted yet because this is obviously the first change of many, but it appears the rest of y'all went ahead and got the update before we even know what the future holds.

Stupid imo, but you can't pvp alone. Better pray blizz doesn't completely reck pvp by changing all the classes up even more.

i thought the same tbh and still do, very valid concerns.
but exp is a ghost town now and i'd rather actually play my characters, so i ended up converting after a couple months or so. hope i won't regret it too much or too soon

Exactly. I still have a concern that blizzard will continue to “tweek” the game with new content that will eventually ruin it. But players have been saying that since the LOD expansion came out like 20+ years ago. If there isn’t a community to play with then you might as well just play offline in single player. I just check the trade forums and Classic has more people than expansion!

Another thing I noticed was even if you could find a duel game on exp the quality of the players was pretty sub par. I mean it’s fun for a couple games to run around with a level 99 and own a bunch of newbs with garbage gear but after awhile I want a legit challenge.

Also the quality of life improvements are so worth it. Trust me, once you watch multiple mules full of gems and runes disappear into a single organized stash tab you will never go back!

yea the stacking is a really nice addition. My account was gridlocked from all the crafting mats I had saved. Now I can actually move my gear around and play again.

Nah everything is on rotw now, took me a while but I converted everything

Just gotta avoid those annoying warlocks and you’re good
