so i died and then equipped one shield to potentially get my body back (doing heralds) but i ended up dying again and left the game. only one body remained and it was my crappy gear.

is this normal? all my gear is gone TT

Was once my understanding that the corpse you get to retrieve would be the one with higher gold value in items…

But, did you die several times trying to get to your body? There is some numerical limit, I learned that lesson offline in single player

only died twice including the first death

if you equip items then die again the first one is gone

It is. Were you online? Maybe next time keep the game open and come ask for help…

whichever body sells for more gold is what is kept when multiple bodies are left on the ground. This is how it has been since they upped the corpse limit from 1 to 16 to prevent body popping.

If this was ever changed it is news to me.

idk if it's a bug, but i literally only got my 2nd body back.
