This post is quite epic. I’d switch your Sigon’s helm for an Schacko
That is a Gface, and because of the gloves I was also getting an additional 35HP.
However I did try using Sigon's helm/gloves ( for the 30 IAS and IAR ) and giving my merc the Gface, but he was still no match for clone diablo, at which point I took my smoke back from him, and gave him my old stealth.
Edit:(I died twice, experimenting with Sigon's Set bonuses, as I also geared him up with the suit and helm, in hopes the 10% life steal would somehow keep him afloat, that also did not work)
Somewhere in his sequences of deaths, I also tried giving him "The Spirit Shroud" thinking he was dying to random cold damage, but that seemed to result in him dying faster, so he got the stealth back, and it's what was equipped at the end of the battle. (Eth War Scythe [Strength] ; Eth Death Mask [Radiance] ; Chain Mail [Stealth])
(This was around my 2/3rd death)

Those deaths happened before the fight really began, not long after I finally cleaned up all the trash monsters distracting Emilio from doing his job.
Importantly, I parked my sorcerer who had all my runes, and bases, in another hell game, so I had no access to runes for making rune words, I had to work with what was in my stash, I probably could have asked someone to come park in my other game, but I didn't want my clone to get hijacked, and my sorcerer was just wearing a bunch of P-gemmed gear making her completely useless for the task at hand.
