Like I said. Can't explain how the cold build with the same life feels tankier but it does. Fighting herald big hits take 30-50% of life vs the light sorc taking 40- 70%.
Fire sorc is another story altogether. Can have 3k life and redemption. no es needed. Slower than cold or light tho

If you're rocking an infinity, realistically, is mana ever -really- an issue?



If mobs are scattered, i don't see why not. Hitting everything is inherently more dps than hitting only 4/12 mobs.

Does the scale tip at all for p8 vs p1? Or are we still very much team nova overall?

I'm aware. But if you can afford infinity, mana is probably not an issue via other gear.

What specific gear are you speaking of? Chain lightning isnt sustainable for spamming with 117 fcr gear using 2x SOJs and mana on caster amulet. That’s why people alternate between chain lightning and lightning. The former only being used against large, dispersed mobs. But lightning/CL have the same rates as amazon, so it feels clunky.

well I'm not expecting people to only cast cl, just when it makes sense to. Potions exist for a reason, no? I'm rocking a double soj/ormus/griff setup on sp and mana is really not a big deal outside the occasional chug of a pot on p8, which are abundant due to the raw murder power overall.

I love nova I'm just trying to see if I really want to do nova again or try lightning for p8 farming for variety's sake.
