Unfortunately the gold standard for capitalism (USA) is off base as USA is corporate socialism where it counts in reality.
Obtained a license to practice medicine? Great, good luck placating the state board corporate gatekeepers to open business.
Trying to buy or sell a home? Good luck with information asymmetry as MLS is opposite of free and open.
Trying to have health care? Good luck, it's 2-3x more expensive unless your beholden to a corporate lord.
Want to build a home? Think again! If you can even get raw land at good rate, then you buy it again as wetland credits to build. Then you need redundant permits and inspections (different by state but can be margin of 30k on a median home.
Want your kids to have the average education? Think again, it's block by block across the USA. And the rise in 4 day week is up 1000% since the 90s.
Capitalism is when Kathy Cargill buys and destroys single family homes in a poor industrial city then when locals peasants complain, we pee in the Cheerios. She is a member of the Corporate good ole boys club. God forbid locals complain about private pickle ball courts replacing limited housing supply. Sadly, those homes are gone and now you can buy the vacant lot for what the home was worth.
I'd like to see a reset/soft revolution in the USA. I don't think these dynamics above will change without force. Still got about 10 years left before can't hack that shit. So many nice cabins from Edina folks ready to be filled with families again
