a little old war fort in Chambly, aka Fort Chambly https://parks.canada.ca/lhn-nhs/qc/fortchambly It's only a 20min drive. Great place for all. Well, maybe not for everyone. Look it. Look at this sign that was not there last year...




Except for swimming, people ought not to swim there as there are harsh rapids and a strong current in the rivers that meet at one of the corners of the fort. But, of all those other activities that are now not permitted, people have been doing those activities for decades. Oh, well. Sign sign everywhere a sign.

what record breaking hot spring are we talking about

We got pummeled by a 29°C (84.2°F) heatwave. I did not check what it was with the humidity. So add another 5°C (41°F). I had to sit under the shade of a tree. Bad choice to wear a black cap on a hot day. For the rest of the week, we'll be back to normal Spring temps: 16 to 18°C (61 to 65°F).



But, save all the fish!

He is one of the coolest dudes ive ever met, incredibly talented... hes retired from kayaking these days ,but years ago he was well known for running waterfalls that no one else had ever attempted.

Heres a cool artsy short film he made back when I was closer to him, where he runs the Green river narrows ( class V) blindfolded.
