The forum seems to be going downhill with bots auto bumping trades, but no human on the other end actually responding to them. You can bin 30 random threads and might only get 1 or 2 humans watching.

Since 2009, I’ve never encountered anything like that, and I don’t know anyone who has seen what you’re talking about.
Maybe you trade in a section where only a few people play, and that’s why it seems that way to you :)

d2r xpac trading

I've been around a few years longer than 2009 and remember when you could visit the site at 2am on a weeknight and see so many d2 lod trades posted per second that the instant you posted something, it was already near the bottom of a page of 50 trades unless someone caught and replied to it in time. Now even when you bin, it still might be an hour or more before the trade if they answer or show up at all.

I've never experienced this, but that's not to say you didn't find something hinky. This is honestly the most reliable site on the scene by peer review. I don't use any other trade platforms/sites/servers, but I've experienced them. I ran straight back to jsp after those experiences. It's quite impressive actually how well regulated jsp is. I hope you reported the questionable trade thread. I would sincerely be shocked if there were any form of botting/automation on this site that lasted for more than 1-2 seconds.

Sometimes people play "bot-like" in d2r and have been suspended. It's rare, but it's happened to me. People in trade chat in D4 after meeting me have told me "I thought you were a bot". I'd post like clock work at every single WB a recruitment copy/pasta above my head into local chat :) We're full now so I don't do it anymore, but beginning of season I definitely come across as "bot-like" with my recruitment posts for D4 clan.

There used to be autobumping back in lod with autoshops using autodroppers.

I believe this has been dealt with and is not allowed, and very detectable.
These shops you see now with unbelievable fast stock-up and all the shops has the same layout, is probably just active resellers.
Or their bot has a built-in-thing to make these lists.

However, I believe they are doing this manually, I always get my items within 5 minutes after posting in their topic, and it seems like being humans meeting me ingame.
And I dont haggle, I respect peoples prices. So most trades goes fairly quick for me.

After searching your recent posts around the time this topic was created, I found a few things that I believe might be the issue here.

https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=109382807

In the link above you demonstrated very risky trading habits by posting the game name and password publicly on post #3 which likely prompted the other user to avoid your offer.

My advice here is to only send the game name & password to another user directly via private message after both users have agreed to trade.

Also consider that you're posting in D2R Expansion Non-Ladder as there will typically be far less active trade topics posted and slower response times in this forum compared to a more active forum like D2R ROTW especially during the first weekend of Ladder reset.

With all that said I don't believe those people are using bots to bump their topics every 4 hours. I'd suspect they're bumping the topics themselves and going afk before seeing your post.

Hope this helps and remember to trade safe!
