sure, i looked again. why dont you cite a paper to prove your position?

i really hope you cite "Asia’s Ascent — Global Trends in Biomedical R&D Expenditures"

I googled the article you suggested and we could use that one if you want... It shows America at nearly 50% of the total global medical r&d expenditure, as I've been saying.

What are you talking about? Do I need to translate these numbers into your fairy island language or what? I think the robot you get to filter all your information into a form you find digestible would be better suited to that job

your using an article that (a) is almost 15 years old and (b) has a title which outlines the direction of US expenditure (there is a hint in the title, i.e. "Asia's Ascent"). Also, since we seem to be talking about Ethic's and morality (again, your words), I think there are a fair few ppl on this site that would disagree with you that the US is the most ethical country on this planet. The genocide of the indigenous population of America? The only country that used Nuclear weapons against another? Kidnapping foreign leaders, assassinating foreign leaders, stating intent to annex an ally's land (Greenland) or annex another country (Canada), sanctions against Cuba, wars of adventure, politicians signing their names on 2000 lbs bombs that are dropped on cities. i mean the list goes on and on...

You recommended that article.., you're arguing with yourself. Find one that says differently if you want to posit your alternative facts.

As for your second point, I agree with you that there are a lot of unintelligent people with no sense of historical perspective. It's nice to agree on something for a change

Oh, I thought you understood what I meant. I will use smaller words.

you, used a paper, that is more then 15 years old, to support your claim that America #1, when the paper itself, calls your statement, into question. I hope the words I used were small enough for you. There are various resources online that you can use to self-help yourself from your delusions.

You also still have not corrected your statement re: "America pays for almost 50% of the world's medical research." this is false. In order to educate you on facts:

Here is a link from 2022 which outlines USA is #1 for R&D Research, at 30% (China on 27%) - https://ncses.nsf.gov/pubs/nsb20257/global-r-d-and-international-comparisons-2
Here is a link to where USA is closer to 55% - Biopharma/drug R&D specifically - https://itif.org/publications/2025/02/21/europe-trails-united-states-over-26-percent-share-global-biopharma-rd/

Do you understand the difference ? should i explain it using small words? Basically for a subsection of medical research America is #1.

So, to better describe your argument: Because America won some sport, say, hockey, 20 years ago, your argument is that America is #1 for all sports now and forever. When in fact, they only won at hockey.

You seem to be very challenged, you keep on interjecting your views and...misguided patriotism? in topics where they do not belong. For instance, this topic is about "Trump Is So Bad At Everything" and lets not forget here https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=107705282&f=119 where again you have no knowledge of the topic of debate. Maybe you should go read a book or better yet, watch a youtube video to better educate yourself on certain topics sothat you can contribute meaningfully to debates instead of your constant personal attacks and off topic ranting.

For a topic like this, the idea is to either talk about:

1. Trump Is So Bad At Everything
2. Refute the position
3. provide a balanced response

but nowhere is a conversation about market share on medical research relevant to the topic.

As an example, this was my contribution to the thread:

In 2024 Donald Trump had about 3-4 Billion
Today Donald Trump has 6-7 Billion
He is not bad at making money.

and then if we look at your contribution:

Ya. "Late stage capitalism" is designed to only care or value money. That's why almost every major medical breakthrough in modern history was funded by America. Lol capitalism doesn't fail when it lets people die of easily preventable causes... Capitalism also turns out to be the thing that makes those deaths preventable, and in most cases actually does prevent them.
Let me know when you find a communist or socialist country making anywhere near the medical breakthroughs that American capitalism makes. It's been 80 years, none of these fkers have ever come anywhere close.
Keep sitting on your high horse throwing rocks from your glass house. We'll keep revolutionizing medical practices consistently while you contribute nothing to the world. Yeah, we're the evil ones.

can you see the difference ? your going off topic, attacking users with personal vitriolic attacks instead of debating the OP topic. A better way of responding would be to outline what Donald Trump has done since gaining office which is "good" or "bad". Instead what you are doing is basically saying is every other "fker" (your word not mine) country has come anywhere close (to America).

A better argument would be to detail what Donald Trump has done for medical research. So you could lead with:

In response to your statement, I note that Donald Trump signed executive orders aimed at making more drugs and medical supply chains domestic instead of relying on China/India. Further more his administration used tariff pressure to push companies to manufacture more in the U.S. In laymans terms Trump has tried to strengthen “America the biotech factory and strategic biotech power.

I hope you learned a valuable lesson here on how to properly debate.

instead of say "you fucker" you can say "dear sir" but "sir" works fine as well.

Your first link where America is at 30% is ALL research, not just medical r&d, which is what this conversation is about. As I already explained, I do not value astrobiology. "Can you see the difference? Should I explain it using smaller words?"

Your second link, once again, agrees with me.

That "rise of china" article was your suggestion lol. All the information in it agreed with me and you chose to ignore that and instead cling to the click bait headline.

Seriously, think a little bit, maybe read your own sources before you bring them to me. You've repeatedly proven my point and contradicted your own. I could have a more substantive debate with a box of rocks.

When you reach the stage where you can admit your faults, you grow up and act with integrity, feel free to converse with me. I actually think you dont know what you did wrong. Your entire approach to conversations is to demean, insult, condescend and sermonize. If that is all you want to do, carry on, just dont expect any patience from me, or other users, with your bullshit and personal attacks. I would appreciate it if you stopped responding to my posts. thanks.
