Any RPG should have a development curve.

Finding items to trade facilitates that growth.

Getting everything easily negates the need to trade.

If no trading may as well play solo?

If you are playing solo may as well play offline?

If you are playing offline maybas well use a hero editor?

If your using a hero editor you may as well stop playing the game?

Divide and conquer the playerbase. Split them to bicker amongst themselves.
Sounds like governments of the day beating you into submission.

Lmao wtf are you even talking here. There is a big difference between "i dont want these overpowered items to have little to no value" and "i want to make fg or jah runes"

I'll explain it to you since you and few others seem to be slow: the rarity of sunders made people actually play together. You opened a shard game and everyone was after heralds and even if you didnt find sunders it was challenging and fun

This was in my opinion the best thing they did in the last 5 years. And now this wont happen anymore because people like you (who feel adressed and attacked when i say crybabies) cried🤷‍♂️ d2 is definitely for none of you if you think the game should drop these sunders multiple times a day, yall survived 20 years without them and now its a problem cuz others got them and you dont lol

Nah dawg I don't care if they are rare or not, I'm happy with the game either way, doesn't effect my ability to enjoy it

I also don't need to do something in d2 with others for it to be fun

Well it's an arpg and I think you're ignoring the action element to this game, the game is mostly kill stuff and have fun doing it

But sadly there is a lot of nerds like you two around who want to chase the ultra rare dragon princes semen

Also using fg to aquire items to build a better char is basically online hero editor

Fuck knows how you make the leap of playing a hero editor character to "may as well not play at all"

the sunders drop rate should be as often enough as a normal human being can play per day , e.g 1-2 hours per day during week and probably 2-3 hours during weekend!

They clearly overcorrected.

My guess is that they won't change the sunder drop rate again, it'll stay at it is just like the old sunders dropping everywhere. The difference is that you don't throw any less than perfect away as you'll try to make a high rolled one (then throw those imperfects away), thereby creating higher demand for those runes.
And they're harder and less efficient to farm (for non S tier builds) compared to normal mobs/elite hunting for runes, and the item drops are worse than act bosses. So if you target farm them, you may actually lose out on other stuffs.
I would've preferred the sunder drop rate to be slightly lower due to the power of these charms, but the patch is still better than pre rotw imo. I'm gonna miss the public herald hunts :(

So we agree it's an rpg. It being an arpg does not chage the rpg aspect of it being an rpg.
Kill stuff find loot level up so you can kill better stiff and find better loot.

Chasing upgraded items is how you improve your character in an rpg so you can explore areas with harder, more intence actions.

As far as FG useage to buy and sell items.. if only d2 had an auction house :wallbash:

While I agree external game trading diminishes the item for item trading experience, using fg acquired by selling items is no different than trading items for sojs / hrs and using those to buy items of interest when on shows up for trade.

Hero editing bypasses the need for finding / trading better items.

With out this need, what is the point of the game?

you (and others) care too much about finding items, especially wanting to chase low chance to drop items (basically gambling)

the fact you don't know what's the point in playing diablo 2 if you have the best gear (whether it be on day one through a hero editor or after some time finding) is kind of sad and shows you don't enjoy the killing stuff part and should just go to a casino and play on a slots machine

I don't care if nothing rare drops on the ground, because I play to see large groups of monsters drop down to the ground while teleporting around
