What is this rule??

It is not an official rule of d2jsp.

It's always best to use a Mediator.

But what is it?

Join date, Post count, FG amount. Who ever has lower or later join date gives the item or sends fg first.

Again, this is not recommended or supported by d2jsp. While conducting a Trade; if any uncertainties come up, it's best to use a Mediator.

For instance,

My join date, post count and fg amount is earlier/higher than yours so I'm more "established" and you would give an item to me first and then I would send the forum gold.

Like Southland stated, this isn't an official rule and it is always safer to use a mediator when in doubt.
