I agree Israel is a terror state.
You are so entrenced in your beliefs that all palestinians are hamas terrorists that you forget yourself. The reason we argue against the israeli government is because we are not against israelis. We recognize that even though a large part of the zionist movement now is genocidal in their rhetoric and behavior they are not necessarily guilty of it and we do believe that people, through exposure to truth can be redeemed. Yet you immediately cast off all aid and reason to any civilian in Gaza to build something themselves because Hamas will just take it. You rob them of independence and chance.
The time line is very much clear. Israel created Hamas, they would never have existed, or would only have existed in a limited capacity, if Israel had chosen peace. Israel then fed Hamas and will continue to feed Hamas because for alot of gazans now there's no other way to fight back against apartheid, genocide and cruelty. Israel has created it's own enemy and is now creating thousands upon thousands more in Iran, Lebanon, Syria and the rest of world. The circle of violence must stop.

From a european perspective, until such time as Germany, England and the EU commission change their position, nothing will change.

The reality is that these countries aid Israel and are therefore complicit in the war crimes, and they are quite far from moving to isolate and sanction Israel noting the political ramifications re: the United States which provides a massive political blanket / deterrent which aids Israel. i.e. one can say "isolate" "sanction" Israel but if these countries continue to support it, no one will do anything. We would need to see another Amsterdam moment for England and Germany to change their tune.

for the uninformed - the Amsterdam moment was when Israel's actions in Amsterdam almost led the Dutch Government's collapse, and when the Dutch Government woke up and realized that they had been attacked by the US and Israel (indirectly via media attack) they moved from a Pro Israeli position to an Anti Israeli position (else the government would have toppled under the weight of the mass protests happening in the country). England runs the risk of a similar incident occurring there, Germany not so much.

Well europe is still very democratic and as popular opinion shifts from seeing israel as victims to perpetrator the politics surrounding the aid will dry up. The world must stand united against the senseless slaughter of women and children.

One of the key "problems" for Israel is that the young jewish population in America has seen students and teacher brutalized in support of Israel. These children are likely to grow up with negative thoughts on Israel. Israel has various schemes to promote soft power world wide and will need to reinforce and fund these schemes (which it is) in order to ensure that any blowback will be minimal in the future. Money talks in the US so they should be fine. Who am I to question the US model of Politicians accepting lobby bribes...!

Israel has currently detained members of this year's flotilla, including some Irish citizens. However, it is not *grabbing* global media attention. the regulars, the UK, Germany, the EU Commission are basically turning a blind eye or a tepid response (basically Israel can do w/e it wants - just dont go full Tropic Thunder please for your own sake. Nobody should ever go full Tropic Thunder. Israel appears to have a lot of options here and may keep these people detained for some time noting the international noise is not very loud. From a historical context however the likely scenario is they will be released some time over the next 2 weeks. For Ireland its a bit tricky noting the current relationship between Ireland and Israel is the lowest it has ever been since the creation of Israel. i.e. there are some unknowns here.

Israel's extremist police minister Ben-Gvir posted a video parading and humiliating the activists from the Gaza flotilla, and it is absolutely drawing a strong negative reaction across Europe today. Various European foreign ministries as well as the EU commission have blasted the video and/or summoned their respective Israeli ambassador. According to media reports, even Netanyahu and foreign minister Saar have chided Ben-Gvir .

Here's the clip if anyone is interested:

If Europe at large ever changes its stance toward Israel, Germany will be the last country to turn on them, for obvious reasons... ...

He did the same thing last year, and there are freely available videos on youtube of him, doing the same thing, last year. My point is its like Team America where Kim Jong-il gets the letter from Hans Blix - “Oh no, Hans Blix has sent me a letter of protest” i.e. the absurdity of international scrutiny. a little bark, no bite and the same thing will happen next year.

Israel said it has deported all of the activists from the Global Sumud Flotilla.
thus the drama ends, for now. pity there was no sandwich picture.
