How so? Merc weapon is basically free choice, with insight there are no mana problems

it's weak without gear, you are not destroying p8 with fire lock without tons of -enemy fire res gear and infinity merc now. It's basically a better version of fire druid post nerfs, without the gear it's lackluster on higher player counts, crushes p1 without gear not p8.

Ladder start magic lock will be the best to farm with until you get end game gear. Sorc and Hammerdin are S tier now way above warlock (it really wasn't that op even pre nerf outside of bugged echoing strike, the other lock builds are weaker than Java zon, hammerdin, nova sorc, lightning sorc) but thanks to people that stream but don't play the game outside of speed running, they nerfed things that were never that strong to begin with in pvm.

mana never the issue, its life lol. you cant regain any life aside from leech but your physical damage are none existent it wouldn't work too well, only way is to pot from time to time.

uh guys did we all miss that they buffed the insane fuck out of bind demon's damage and didn't put it into patch notes?
I just noticed my level 45 bind demon on ladder is now +2828 base damage / +745%
with my incomplete prebuff gear its 53 bind demon with +3276 base damage / +800%, which should lock in when I join a game
it used to be ~1618 top end, so they doubled it

That means my TZ 96 holy freeze / cursed urdar right now has ~40000 damage per hit, and that's without having concentration aura which is another option.
where the fuck was this in the patch notes
The amount of damage you can get from a prespawned lancer with concentration aura should be ludicrous, my offline with a +3/3 shield and +3/3 kris for prebuff gets +3468 / +865% damage
