The Cavs understood that Harden will win you 2 games in a series and cruise to 50 wins in the regular season. What the Rockets and 76ers failed to understand is that you need a 1A playoff performer that will capitalize off Harden being an overqualified sidekick that acts as a decoy in those other 2 wins. It’s not Hardens fault that Embiid couldn’t endure a full run as the 1A

Why are we still talking about Embidd?

He played 1/3 of the season and barely played in playoffs. He’s rich and he’s set for life.

The rest of his point is spot on though, harden helped win a couple games in the series, but he’s a side kick. Hes gonna be a valuable 2nd or 3rd option for the Cavs for this championship run

Yeah Harden is feast or famine in the playoffs. He gives you those monster games followed by building brick houses.

He gives the Cavs an actual point guard though. A floor general. Runs the offense, makes other guys better. If hes not turning it over a bunch (only 1 turnover in game 7) he can still make his impact even in off shooting nights.

Funny enough, same thing applies as when I called it three years ago. Keep the Knicks off the glass or you're gonna get reallllllly frustrated. They will crash the offensive boards like no other and the cavs have been pretty weak in the playoffs on the defensive glass.

Bigs better play big this time around. Fuck the Knicks yo. Sadly they are likely going to advance though 😭
