for some reason my pc on ethernet last week was blocking battle.net and jsp and certain websites on ethernet connection. would say cannot secure. then later would also stop working on wifi as well. did a full modem/router reset and started working again, now ethernet is once again blocked? does anyone know how to fix this? feel like firmware or something on my router is blocking things on my pc. also few weeks ago, router would also block ethernet access and i would have to change local ip address to trick my router to thinking it was a different pc? why does this happen? need help lol offer fg for help plz

First thing I would do is contact my ISP. I've had similar hardware issues years ago and they had to send multiple techs out to replace a line and cable jack fitting.

Hey , have you tried it on another router? You might have a faulty router. You can also try setting DNS manually, disabling IPv6 on Ethernet, and clearing the Windows network cache. Personally, I would replace the router if it’s from your ISP, report the issue and they should replace it for free.

Your issue sounds like DNS problem.
Contact your ISP and make sure they don't block anything and mean time you can try setup the DNS manually.

Open Settings (press Windows Key + I),
then click on Network & internet.Click on Wi-Fi or Ethernet (depending on how you connect). If using Wi-Fi, select Hardware properties. If using Ethernet, skip this step.
Locate DNS server assignment and click the Edit button.
Change the drop-down from Automatic to Manual.
Turn the IPv4 switch On.
Enter your desired DNS addresses into the Preferred DNS and Alternate DNS fields (e.g., Google DNS: \(8.8.8.8\) and \(8.8.4.4\), or Cloudflare: \(1.1.1.1\) and \(1.0.0.1\)).

Also, make sure there isn’t a built in VPN on your router. Some newer routers have them and both jsp and battle.net do not allow VPNs.
