When covid hit, vehicle usage plunged worldwide. I remember these pictures of clear skies in major cities, especially LA and Beijing.

Also, that graph shows Biden’s peak occurring somewhere between 2022 and 2023, not 2020. Covid was already on a steep decline by then.

Finally, a simple google search will reveal that covid was not to blame for that 2022 peak.

... the gas prices in 2022 were directly result of Ukraine‐Russia war due to western sanctions on Russian oil, not because of covid. As a matter of fact covid lowered the price of gas due to lock downs in 2019 and 2020.

post covid fuel was already increasing rapidly but yes you guys are right, the russia ukrain conflict was a secondary shock that impacted things even worse. idk how i forgot about that

either way, trump is more at fault for the current fuel situation than biden was for what happened in 2022. that much is not debatable
