So many people create very powerful add-ons for samplers and for music software which they share on GitHub or via musician/hobbyist forums. Unless you have money to burn for expensive things. But, most people do not. Well, I'll shut-up now. You get back to composing songs for us to hear one day!

I cannot argue that as I, too, preferred to use hardware, in my case my guitar, to write and then when things are reasonably solid, I'd boot up the old FL Studio or equivalent and use it like a multitracker. So, I support your desire to keep it hardware and less software. Good luck! And, most of all, have fun!
