Have you done much testing with your 4/40 javs?

You get 56 ias BP (and get to keep your 3/20 or 2/20 gloves and the new jewel in Griffs)

You get 99 FCR BP (and get to keep Razortail for 100% pierce which is basically mandatory imo)

You do lose -15 light res, but I wonder if that matters much when you are telporting faster and throwing faster without having to sacrifice skills/pierce.

Also, there is already so much more -light res from new jewel and sunder so im wondering if you feel that loss at all. (Maybe T5 Heralds?).

Yeah -15 penetration is pretty huge for p8 games actually.

Ias bp is overrated for pvm. You can throw 1 to kill everything basically if you have the right gears. Ias bp is only for pvp.

I hear what youre saying but the IAS is not just about throwing multiple javs into the same group (i would think even 4/40s will clear most large packs with 1 throw).It's also about throwing multiple javs around in different directions clearing multiple groups.

You can use tstroke or 440 or 640. All works. I've used different javs with same 99fcr set up then did like several hundred chaos runs solo in baal games and I preferred tstroke over any other javs.

Repair every 3 to 4 runs.

I dont know why others prefer 440 over tstroke for pvm but it's preference and im good with it.

It probably depends on the content they are doing. If your 4/40s clear most packs in 1 throw anyways, then the -15 light res from t-strokes is objectively worse (because of overkill) than just hitting the next ias BP.

I've found 4/40s really nice for TZ tombs in particular because you hit the 99 fcr BP and then can throw javs around the rooms quickly with the 56 ias bp. 6/40s would probably feel even better. I still repair my 4/40s every few runs even though they have increased stack size and rep. (Costs like 1 gold)

Maybe t-strokes at a lower ias bp is better for p8 chaos specifically. Ill give them a try.

440 definitely felt weaker per throw and cs. It was noticeable so the extra -15lr wasnt wasted for sure.

Even for p8 tz farming, I kept the same set up 99fcr with tstroke. Even much less repair because for tz farming you can basically throw once and clean up everything with stomp cs/ls. Very entertaining playstyle and rekt
