Personally I put a point in everything
Then 2 points in everything
Then 3
Then comes the hard part of what to min/max with a 4th point

I think BiS is 4 in leap attack, taunt, grim ward and ofc 4 in each weapon mastery for the flexibility

Stats is pretty much an even split among all 4, but sometimes I put a bit more in energy to counter mana burn. A full inventory of health potions (make sure to use find potion on EVERY corpse) makes you impossible to kill if you wait to go back to full hp before you isolate your next target with taunt and fight him 1 on 1.

I use a lot of crit + DS for huge quadruple dmg
And ofc stacking HFD (5+ instances) so being chilled barely affects me
