No. But it should be optional with the same rewards with new colors, but you lose access to the old ones.

if you unlock the reward you choose a color for that unlock? if you unlock again you choose another color to have available?

I'd be fine with that system except blizzard picks the color for the season, not the player AND you lose access to the previous season's rewards. So you can keep your current color rewards or reset and get the new seasons color instead.

Honestly if we're looking at how they would've done this system back in the day, it definitely wouldn't have given you an RGB wheel you can just pick any color. They would pick the color for you and if you didn't want that color then... Too bad. you aren't forced to reset your chronicle from a previous season.
