.Chronicle doesn't seem to reset for ladder?

why would it? its account bound, you do it once its yours. Having to do a full chronicle every ladder is harder than 1-99.

accound bound but split between HC and SC.
as someone earlier said on Ron's stream, they could have made new chronicle rewards, and then a reset for ladder chronicle would have made perfect sense

Should take summon tainted from ~36000 no prebuff / 46000 prebuff down to about ~27000 no prebuff / ~34000 prebuff (5/7 the damage, but also +1 skill from magefist)
Its still absurdly high

Still the very harsh nerf to blood boil aoe makes that more comparable to hammerdin aoe instead of 'bigger than nova sorc' aoe
The health cap on bound demons is what we need to see, the ability to amp from a venom lord or succubi can greatly boost blood boil but its at the same time summon tainted get absurd damage and blood boil gets nerfed and you lack phys damage on amp-spamming demons. It was pretty easily in summon tainted favor on PTR because even if you got a stone skin multishot cursed venom lord, he died instantly to cursed heralds. The damage nerfs to heralds might help that but it depends how much of a cap we're talking.

Well ladder reset usually means a full reset. So logical could believe the Chronicle would as well.
With it split up in HC/SC/Offline it would make even more sense that it could have been split up in ladder/nl going forward.

For pvp? If yes:
Fixed an issue where the skill did not affect hostile players.

making a full chronicle in ladder is borderline impossible unless you're a whale and focus specifically on this. i dont think its feasible
